Let’s see, I’ll tell you a few more things, I write poetry, I’ve almost finished my book, have had a few published, have played Rachmaninov on Lenin’s piano in his childhood home in Ulyanovsk, Russia and caused his housekeeper to clap her hands over her mouth and exclaim, “oh my, that was his favorite song!” At first, I thought I was going to be thrown across the street to the building where the people worked hmm let’s describe them as the “three letters we weren’t supposed to speak” but no, she was truely moved that I had played his favorite song. So now you know, I fell in love with Russia, it’s people and the whole of the Volga Valley. Of all the places I have ever been, it is the only place I almost stayed. If you will go check at my next entry I’ll post a photo of his house and a few others from Russia.
