Response to letter from the Joint Chief’s of Taxation:

Where in the Constitution does it mandate personal care as a law? In realty the Constitution specifically states that unless the power to do something is explicitly provided for in the Constitution it is left to the States or the People.  I am saddened beyond words that the fabric of our great country has been unraveled by ignorance.  We are held captive by partisan politics where two parties like huge corporate giants are lining their pockets and selling us down the river.

America is has been the strongest economy on the planet.  We have given billions in aid to countries around the world.  We have led the way for other nations on human rights, rights of women, education, health, transportation, manufacturing, technology, construction, energy and I am sure I have missed a few things.

This is big government trying to assure itself of greater revenues in the future.  First in was a direct income tax on civilians.  Now that they have spent all that money (wisely?); they want more from us so they can mandate our healthcare.

When they have spent that money (wisely?); what will they ask for next?  It is time for the American people to say no to run away government spending.  Revoke their credit cards and cancel their credit rating.  Layoff their overpaid executives at government run corporations and try to turn a profit.  I shopped a government jobs site this week, they pay incredibly good salaries.  I wonder how many of them have to live on a normal mans working salary?

Its your money what are you waiting for?

Ensign receives handwritten confirmation

This doesn’t happen often enough.

Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance.

Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead. He signed it “Sincerely, Thomas A. Barthold.”

The note was a follow-up to Ensign’s questioning
